Tell us about your role

My role at Conscious is to plan and manage the SEO strategies of our clients to ensure high visibility in Google’s search engine. These strategies are tailored to each client dependent on their authority, the current state of their content, the technical structure of their website, and other important elements Google considers when ‘ranking’ a website.

What’s your favourite Conscious value and why?

Transparency is my favourite Conscious value because being honest with your colleagues and clients is the only way to get to the bottom of any issues there might be with a project. From there, you can work out what improvements need to be made to fix those issues and turn a failing project into a successful one.

Tell us about your life outside of Conscious

I’ve had some ups and downs in my life, but over the past five years, I’ve managed to raise two pets - Abe & Edy, move to Bristol, land this job, get engaged, and buy a house. So not bad going really.

I’ve recently gotten into climbing which is a great sport that I recommend to anyone looking to make friends (especially in a new city) and work off all the pent-up energy from sitting at a desk all day.

I also love hiking with my (future) wife, playing video games with my friends from back home, watching Columbo, and eating peanuts.

‘Content is king’ would have to be my favourite SEO quote. It’s the first one I heard when I got into this industry and it’s as true today as it was back then. Without content, Google has nothing to rank and all your other SEO efforts, technical, offsite, link building, etc. will go to waste.
