Tell us about your role

I’m part of a team that supports the SEO goals of our clients. Our aim is to gain links naturally through news coverage and link building using blog sites, which is done through PR campaigns and digital outreach. I help plan, create and execute campaigns in various ways, typically including data-led campaigns, newsjacking and utilising X's (formerly Twitter) ‘#journorequests’. I’m also responsible for sourcing sites to use for guest posting and editing content.

What’s your favourite Conscious value and why?

My favourite Conscious value has to be “collaborative”. My favourite part of the role here at Conscious is working together as a team to produce quality campaigns, it’s a great feeling when plans come together during a brainstorm. It’s always an exciting and nervous time seeing off a piece of work you’ve all worked on.

Tell us about your life outside of Conscious

I’m originally from a tiny village called Llangennith situated in West Wales, famous for its amazing beach and surf. I now live in Cardiff with friends whom I met at Cardiff University, where I studied Criminology and Sociology.

I thoroughly enjoy the art of doing nothing, but aside from this, I also love my weekly salsa class (where I met my partner), cooking and attempting to get 10,000 steps a day.

Summer is my favourite time of year, being able to spend lunchtimes outside in the sun with a book is such a treat. It’s also when festivals tend to happen, which are typically on my radar, though I’m much more suited to day festivals nowadays (28 going on 80).

One thing I would love to have in the future is my own little cottage somewhere stocked with rescue chickens or ducks! I’m not fussy.

“Stop interrupting what people are interested in and be what people are interested in.”

Craig Davis.

This quote ties in what we aim for in the majority of our campaigns, providing fresh, interesting takes on real issues that affect many from raw facts and data.
