What were your firm's goals for your new website?

We recognised that our previous website was functioning purely as a “shop front”, but not a hugely effective one. It wasn’t working as a commercial acquisition tool, nor was it strengthening our brand in the local market.

Technically, the site was outdated, slow, and disconnected from other key digital assets, and, strategically, it sat separately from wider marketing activity rather than forming part of an integrated approach. More importantly, the website didn’t reflect our positioning, particularly the strength and sophistication of our Corporate & Commercial team. Client feedback confirmed the mismatch, noting that the website did not reflect the calibre of work we were pitching for.

With a firm-wide brand refresh underway, we saw the opportunity to align our digital presence with our evolving identity and implement a fully integrated strategy.

What successes have you seen from the campaign?

The impact of the new website has been felt both internally and externally. Performance-wise, we have seen an uplift in website traffic and digital enquiries, despite wider changes in the search landscape. There is a clear sense that more enquiries are coming through digital channels. The integration of Perfect Portal across Clarke & Son has also enhanced our end-to-end client experience, supporting smoother processes and improved communication.

Internally, staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Our team love the new website, and they feel it reflects the firm accurately. Externally, referral partners and the local business community have responded strongly to the rebrand and new site. The team has also received great feedback from clients on the site and new look. For us, this external validation reinforced that the new digital presence matches the quality of our work.

What are your next steps for digital marketing?

At Clarke & Son, we see the website launch as the foundation for continued digital growth.

Our 2026 priorities include:

Further integration of Perfect Portal across the firm
Internal process improvements using the new digital tools
Testing paid inbound marketing strategies
Continuing to refine and develop our SEO strategy with Conscious
