Three months with Conscious Solutions

So after a 5 year real world & LinkedIn relationship with David we finally both decided it was time for me to join Conscious. David always did say I would work for him and I must say what a joy it has been so far.

Learning digital media, SEO for law firms, Google Analytics, IP Tracking and all the other digital areas Conscious including CRM for law firms has to offer has been a steep learning curve. The team have been great in supporting me throughout my client visits, not to mention the many law events I have attended.

My first day I had a meeting with David and one of our clients in London . I was a little nervous, well after copious amounts of tea and biscuits we were off to the next one. I always had this image of lawyers being dusty and relaxed sat in their high back leather chairs. Boy was I in for a shock. Over the first couple of weeks I got to understand Conscious's clients and how we work with them around their digital marketing campaigns.

Lawyers and solicitors are quite possibly the nicest people to deal with from a selling and social point of view. Many of them have modern slick offices, funky breakout rooms, one even had a puzzle you could contribute to while you waited. Peter Maynard from FWDLaw Associates thought I was crazy for even thinking such a thing at the Legal 360 Conference. I hope he doesn't prove me wrong.

The "Orange Dogs" are one of the most talked about areas at all the events we attended. If one wasn't under Moneypenny's stand the other ones were dotted around on or under tables. If you haven't met the dogs please come over and say hello at the next event we are at, they won't bite I promise.

I took one of the dogs north with me to see Cullimores Lutton and Eaton Smith as part of the LawNet joint charity scheme we are doing. I did get a lot of strange looks walking through Chester city centre with a bright orange dog under my arm. But I guess that comes with the territory when your corporate colours are bright Orange. Both firms made me feel very welcome and everyone enjoyed getting their picture taken with the dog, who was called "Dogs Body".

I'm continuing to learn new technologies and broaden my digital career with Conscious. David hasn't quite got me wearing the notorious orange shirt.......yet.

If you would like to discuss any of your digital marketing campaigns or just brush up on your LinkedIn skills, just give myself a call and we can grab a coffee and cake on me of course and chat some more.

Thanks for reading and not yawning, speak to you all soon.
