When Search Engine Optimisers hear about penguins and pandas, it's unlikely they'll envisage recent trips to the zoo. In fact, the very idea of penguins and pandas may well result in a few sleepless nights. Confused? Naturally we're talking...

One of the principles we teach in our social media training (opens a PDF) is that of only connecting with people who have either spoken to or met.  It's fine to connect "through" someone else using the "Get introduced through a...

My usual rule is that I do not connect with people on LinkedIn with whom I have never met or spoken. I recently changed that rule to allow me to connect with employees at client companies.  It just seemed a bit weird saying "no" to someone...

Back in the early days of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), ranking highly in the organic search engine listings was a straightforward exercise, as website pages only had to be optimised for phrases or keywords. However, when the Google Panda algorithm was...

Google recently announced their most radical Adwords update for years, turning the way adverts are targeted completely on its head. Say hello to Enhanced Campaigns.   As I'm sure you've already heard (probably from us!), mobile web browsing is...

Inspired by recent reruns on TV of The Good Wife, if you've never watched it the names will mean nothing.  But, it got me thinking whether young people were still inspired to join the legal profession based on TV programs such as Suits, The Good...

So why have a blog?

Well there are a number of reasons actually, all of them good. The first is that in my travels, both physically around the country, and virtually round the Internet, I run into a lot of people and a lot of things.

As a sales and marketing professional in the IT/legal sectors, I see things that different firms are doing and thought it might appropriate to commentate on, and document some of these.  Occasionally I might use it to sound off about something.

So, could a blog help your law firm? Well it might, particularly if you are a real specialist in a particular area (or want to be). It can help raise your profile and demonstrate your competence and expertise. If you want to see some sample blogs from our clients, have a look at:
