Summary of the Role
Your role will be to deliver paid search campaigns for our clients, mainly in the legal sector. We are currently running paid search projects for around 30 clients, and this number is growing. You will work closely with our Production team, Account Managers and Search Marketing Managers but primarily you will be responsible for developing, managing and optimising campaigns across Google, Bing and social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) and more.
Using your enthusiasm for online media, proven track record in paid search and your communication skills, you’ll help shape the performance of new and existing accounts whilst providing a high level of client service.
Main Responsibilities
The following is a list of the main tasks this job role will handle, but is by no means an exhaustive list and may be varied from time to time:-
- Campaign planning, creation and implementation
- Formulate client campaigns against agreed objectives, including keyword research and then implement
- Perform reviews of client’s websites and landing pages, and make recommendations of what needs to be done to ensure lead generation and maximise conversions
- Liaise effectively with clients so that they understand what the campaign will entail, the set-up process and associated timescales
- To deliver campaigns using the complete suite of tools and methods available and set up of Google Analytics including the intelligent configuration of goals and reporting
- Campaign management and reporting
- Responsible for the day to day management of all client campaigns, including but not limited to; keyword management, campaign structuring, targeting, ad writing and refinement, bid management and budgets
- Produce monthly reports for the client using Google Data Studio outlining what work has been done, analysing campaign performance and making recommendations for improvements
- Client facing activities
- To be a key member of client facing meetings as required at any stage of the sales (with the Sales Team) or delivery process (with the Account Management team)
- Grow your own personal profile as a credible industry expert in the legal sector
- Act as point of contact for general client questions around Paid Search as required
- Internal profile
- Work closely with our Production team to shape our products, pushing best practice forward so that sites are even better optimised from the build stage
- Maintenance of professional knowledge
- Be professionally aware of the latest developments in paid search (including products, channels and services available), and the latest thinking on best practice
- Maintain a good knowledge of current developments and trends affecting Conscious’ markets
- Stay up to date with all Google Professional exams
- Grow knowledge and expertise of our products and competitors, identifying how additional sales can be generated
- Maintain an active interest in key blogs, websites and other publications where paid search is discussed and knowledge disseminated
Required Skills
Applicants must have the following experience:-
- Have at least 12 months’ experience of the various paid marketing channels and technologies including paid search (AdWords, Bing), remarketing and social network advertising (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and more)
- Have experience using the suite of paid search tools, plus Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Optimize
- Knowledge of best practice and principles of CRO
- Experience of best practice in web marketing
- Google AdWords certified
- Excellent organisational, project and time-management skills, managing multiple projects with varying budgets
- A basic understanding of the legal market, trends and services provided by lawyers/solicitors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence in talking to clients in detail about their business and requirements, with the ability to sell and convince
- Excellent phone manner and be happy dealing with people on the phone
- Excellent knowledge of data manipulation and analysis using Excel
- Must be familiar with Mac (preferably) or MS Windows operating systems and MS Office/Email/Internet
- Ability to multi-task and take ownership of your projects
- Self-motivation and a desire to learn
- A passion for paid search
- Be available to attend workshops, seminars and training programmes as required
Desirable Skills
Experience with/of the following is desirable:-
- Experience of producing reports using Google Data Studio and Supermetrics
- Experience of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Social Media
- SugarCRM or another CRM system
- Experience of using a CMS
Salary & Benefits
- Dependent on experience but expected to be in the range of £25,000 - £30,000

- Royal London Buildings, 42-46 Baldwin Street, Bristol, BS1 1PN or another office in central Bristol should we move.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- 9.00am to 5.30pm (unless otherwise agreed)
- As part of the role you will be expected to travel to clients’ offices from time to time; sometimes this may involve out of hours travel
