Primary Role
Reporting to the Client Services Manager your role will be to manage any support requests that have a technical component (e.g. requiring CSS, HTML or simple Photoshop work) whilst helping maintain and enhance existing websites by offering help and advice to our clients. Your objectives will be to implement high quality standards with compliant code as efficiently as possible.
About You
We are looking for someone who has a talent for bug fixing and is committed to finding the best solution to fulfil the client’s needs within the framework of our ticketing system. You should have the confidence and care to flag change requests that may have a negative impact on the performance of the site, both with clients and internally, before actioning, and offering an alternative solution. With several specialist teams within the business you will be expected to utilise their knowledge directly, so you need to be curious and enthusiastic to expand your own knowledge.
As a business we do not micro-manage and we expect our whole team to be able to prioritise, fulfil their responsibilities and engage with the business on an independent level.
Main Responsibilities
- Managing any client requests that have a technical component (e.g. requiring CSS, HTML, simple JavaScript or Photoshop)
- Investigating bugs and cross-browser issues
- Taking calls from clients when they need help making edits using our proprietary CMS or WordPress
- Implementing third-party tools that require embedded code such as Ruler Analytics or Perfect Portal
- Advising on best practice to clients
- Discussing and suggesting solutions for bespoke client work
- Escalating client requests to Account Managers when further scoping is needed
- Advising our Customer Support Executives within the Client Services team
Required Skills
Applicants must have the following experience:-
- Good knowledge of CSS and HTML
- Good interpersonal skills and confident telephone manner
- Basic Photoshop skills
- A logical approach to trouble-shooting and problem solving
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Good common sense, with a GSOH, be able to operate as part of a tight-knit team in a pressured environment working to tight deadlines
Desirable Skills
- Experience with/of the following is desirable:-
- JavaScript
- XSLT or similar templating language
- Experience with WordPress
- Experience with other Content Management Systems
- Basic understanding of SEO and its importance to a website
Salary & Benefits
- £18,000 to £24,000 dependent on experience

Location

Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- 9.00am to 5.30pm (unless otherwise agreed)
