What Sarah does
As our Account Director Sarah is responsible for new business sales. She works closely with Matt who books client appointments and demos for her and keeps her very busy indeed! Reporting to David she makes sure that those targets are met and that the Conscious message is retold as often and as widely as possible.
Sarah spends a fair proportion of her time discussing our products and services via online demonstrations, allowing her to cover a lot of ‘ground’ in a single day, and keep our carbon footprint down. We do occasionally let her out to see people face to face as well!
Sarah has a strong sales background having worked in both corporate and legal environments since she left college, which apparently feels like a very long time ago!
Since joining Conscious Sarah has taken a little of the pressure out of David’s diary and speaks regularly on all things Conscious; she is most often found at events organised by The 360 Legal Group (formerly 2020) and local Law Society seminars as well as at various other popular legal marketing events.
What Sarah used to do
Sarah started her career on a management training scheme with WHSmiths but soon realised that a more sales orientated role was more her style. So, after working in the PC and networking arena for a couple of years at the age of 25 Sarah went to temp in the Microsoft VAR channel for 2 weeks and stayed for 6½ years! She was lucky enough to work with some of our major PC manufacturers and distributors during this time and gained invaluable experience in both account management and project management roles.
After her time in the Microsoft reseller channel Sarah made the move into the legal market and when she came to Conscious she had just spent 4 years with OPSIS, who provide Legal Accounts and Case Management Software. As Sales Manager she had both staff and sales responsibilities.
What Sarah would rather be doing
Shopping, shoe shopping, boot shopping…lunching with the girls, with a nice glass of something cold, whilst wearing those new purchases! Or doing anything with her gorgeous 12 year old daughter, Ella. Sarah believes keeping her daughter sweet will have substantial long term benefits as she is destined for Government, most probably the top job itself!
