Pelvis, Hips

Injury to the pelvis or hips can be very serious and even result in leg amputation (in which case see "legs" for details). "Severe" injuries (£22,650- £76,350) involve damage to other organs and considerable disability. "Moderate" injury (£15,500 - £22,650) is when there is little permanent disability and little future risk. Surprisingly, "Injuries of Limited Severity" (£7,375- £15,500) may result in a hip replacement whereas "lesser injuries" (£2,175 - £7,375) are cases with no residual disability.
